Are you a PHE Champion and Leader in the area(s) of: educational leadership, research, K-12 education, and/or teacher education? Do you want to advise, guide, and inspire emerging leaders and young professionals in the PHE Community?
PHE Canada’s National Mentors are committed to supporting Mentees as they transition to a PHE professional as a long-term career goal. As a mentor, we will connect you with a Mentee who can benefit from your experiences, expertise, and leadership style to deepen their knowledge, increase their confidence, understand diverse pedagogical perspectives, and gain additional insight into wise practices in the world of Physical and Health Education (PHE).
The overall goal of our program is to foster a stronger sense of belonging within the PHE community for all, to close gaps and eliminate barriers in mentorship opportunities for equity-deserving groups and those with intersecting identity factors. Therefore, the Mentor application form will now include voluntary self-identification options. This information will be stored internally in our database and used to connect Mentors and Mentees who prefer to partner with those that have similar lived experiences, identity/identities, and backgrounds. We will not share your self-identification information with anyone unless you have listed this information in your bio.
