Funding

The Margaret Eaton School Legacy Fund provides bursaries to aspiring women in post-secondary education, to support their journey to becoming leaders in physical and health education.

As noted by the Margaret Eaton School Digital Collection, the Margaret Eaton School played a pioneering role in the development physical education in Canada, and was also one of the few schools in Canada addressing the need for advanced education for women in the early twentieth century. The school eventually amalgamated into the University of Toronto, making possible the beginning of a Bachelor's program in Physical Education at the University – the first in Canada.

The Margaret Eaton School Legacy Fund continues and extends the legacy of the Margaret Eaton School through $1,000 bursaries. For those women looking for financial support on their journey to becoming physical and health educators, we invite you to complete and submit the below application.
