This course will offer strategies and resources to support you in preventing substance-related harms among youth using Blueprint for Action. We all have a part to play in the prevention of substance-related harms and this course has been designed to specifically highlight the role of pre-service teachers as you embark on your teaching journey. There are parallel eLearning courses available to support Teachers and Administrators in implementing the Blueprint for Action in their respective roles.

1. Introduce the approaches and interventions of the Blueprint for Action
2. Highlight the need to approach substance use intervention(s) in a different way
3. Encourage you to challenge existing policies, beliefs, and approaches to reducing substance use and related harms among youth
4. Outline the benefits of implementing the Blueprint for Action
5. Identify specific actions for pre-service teachers
