Teachers: Implementing the Blueprint for Action Course

This course will offer strategies and resources to support you in preventing substance-related harms among youth using Blueprint for Action. We all have a part to play in the prevention of substance-related harms and this course has been designed to specifically highlight the role of Teachers. There are parallel eLearning courses available to support Pre-Service Teachers and Administrators in implementing the Blueprint for Action in their respective roles.

Course Objectives

  1. Highlight the need to approach substance use intervention(s) in a different way
  2. Introduce the approaches and interventions of the Blueprint for Action
  3. Encourage you to challenge existing school policies, beliefs, and approaches to reducing substance use and related harms among youth
  4. Outline the benefits of implementing the Blueprint for Action
  5. Identify specific actions for teachers when implementing the Blueprint for Action
