2026 Healthy Schools Summit

Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada) is now inviting submissions to present at the 2026 Healthy Schools Summit.

The event will take place in Vancouver, BC, on April 29-30, 2026. 

The 2026 Healthy Schools Summit Program Committee is looking for presentations that fit into the following themes:

  • Harm Reduction/Substance Use

  • Indigenous Well-Being

  • Collective Impact

  • Healthy School Programming

  • Staff Well-Being

  • Inclusion

  • Anti-Racism

  • Educator Development

  • School Physical Activity and Sport

  • Green & Healthy Learning Environments

  • First Nation Schooling

  • School System Leadership

  • Politics of Schooling

Please note that:

  • All presenters (including co-presenters) are required to register online as a delegate for the Summit if your abstract is successful. 
  • Standard audiovisual equipment will be provided. Presenters are responsible for bringing their own laptop.
  • While we will consider special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled.

Presentation Style
an opportunity to share pioneering ideas, novel solutions or unique approaches. (45 minutes)
a fast paced quick presentation (15 minutes or less). Turbo talk presenters are matched with other presenters to fill a 45 minute time spot.
An interactive session designed to provide hands-on learning experiences. (1 hour and 30 minutes)
An opportunity for educators, school system leaders, public health professionals, teacher educators to share their knowledge and insights. (45 minutes)
A space to showcase new studies, evidence-based practices, and emerging approaches, with opportunities for application-focused discussion. (1 hour)
Language of presentation
Can present in either English or French.

Audiovisual equipment includes projector and screen. No laptops will be provided.

No sales are allowed during the sessions. Interested buyers should find you at the PHE National Conference exhibitor marketplace or contact you outside of the professional development session

Confirmation

By submitting your form, you confirm the following:

 
  • I have read the Call for Presenters form. The information I am submitting accurately describes my status and responsibilities as a presenter.
  • All presenters, including co-presenters, are required to register as Summit delegates.
  • I will provide Summit organizers with an electronic copy of my presentation and other supporting documents at least two weeks prior to the Summit. These files will be shared with all participants via the Summit website.
  • I understand that should any circumstances arise prior to the Summit dates that prevent me from delivering my presentation, I will immediately contact the Summit organizers.
  • I understand that participants are not required to pre-select breakout sessions and as a result PHE Canada cannot guarantee a minimum number of session attendees.
  • I understand that any requests made above are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in an offer to present. This includes audio-visual, technology, fixed equipment, and facilities.
  • I understand that sales are not permitted during my professional development session. If I intend to sell any products, I will apply for a PHE National Conference Exhibit Booth.
  • I understand that I will move out of my workshop space quickly at the end of my session, as other presenters may be moving into this location.
  • I will take all reasonable precautions/actions to ensure the dignity and safety of the delegates who attend my session.
  • I will abide by all venue/facility requirements and take all reasonable precautions/actions to deter any damage to the venue/facility. Should any damage to the venue/facility occur as a direct result of my session activity (setup, during, or tear down) I will be responsible for the costs to repair those damages.
