PHE Canada provides a variety of grants and funding opportunities for schools in Canada as well as bursaries for graduate students to support ongoing research, learning and professional development of students and teachers.
School funding plays a critical role for schools to achieve quality and equitable physical and health education programming. When we invest directly in school-centered PHE programs and teacher education, students benefit from a positive learning environment, better access to learning tools and materials, resulting in improved learning outcomes and well-being.

Access to Action is funded by Sport Canada and will focus on empowering school communities to provide inclusive and meaningful sport and physical activity opportunities before, during and after school. Grants up to $20,000 are available to schools and/or community organizations for projects that engage school aged children and youth with a focus on young people of equity-deserving populations.

PHE Canada’s Physical and Health Education (PHE) Empowerment Grants are designed to empower schools to provide every student with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and resiliency needed to lead a healthy and physically active life. The PHE Empowerment Grants have two streams for the 2022-2023 school year: 1) Healthy School Programming and 2) Bursaries for Graduate Students From Equity-Deserving Groups Conducting Research in the Field of PHE.
