Connect for School Sport Climate Survey

climate survey

School sport systems are not experienced equally and equitably by all. PHE Canada's Connect for School Sport (C4SS) project is gathering vital insights directly from school communities to better understand the current landscape, opportunities, successes, and challenges within school sport in Canada.

By completing the Connect for School Sport Climate Survey, your feedback will help inform the C4SS project’s environmental scan and support the development of a comprehensive nationwide framework and practical toolkit.

For the purpose of this survey, school sport will be categorized in two ways:

  • Interscholastic (Interschool): competitive, school-supported programs where teams play against other schools. Typically, there is a selection process in which students must pass a tryout, and those not selected generally lack alternative playing options for that sport at school.
  • Intramural: school-hosted recreation/physical activity programs that take place outside of instructional time and feature sport competition(s) strictly between students inside the same school, not against external groups.

All responses are completely confidential. The information gathered will be stored internally in our database and used to inform the environmental scan and national school sport framework. This survey will take approximately 25 minutes to complete. Thank you for taking the time to complete this national Connect for School Sport Climate Survey. We deeply appreciate your leadership and dedication to student well-being through school sport.
