2026 PHE National Conference

2026 PHE National Conference
Sheraton Wall Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia
April 30 - May 2, 2026

This premier national event brings together physical and health education teachers, physical activity leaders, and sector experts to support our collective goal of all children and youth in Canada living healthy, physically active lives.

This year, the Conference takes place in Vancouver during an exciting week of events that also includes the Healthy Schools Summit and the Research Forum. Together, these gatherings create a powerful opportunity to connect across communities of practice and explore health and education from multiple perspectives.

A crest-shaped illustration depicts a scenic landscape with mountains, a body of water, and a cityscape. The text "TOGETHER WE RISE" arches over the top, and "ENSEMBLE POUR S'ÉLEVER" is at the bottom. Silhouettes of a kayaker, a hiker, and a cyclist are visible on a path in the foreground. The sun with a face is prominent in the sky. "Vancouver 2026" is handwritten at the bottom right.

The theme of the 2026 PHE National Conference is Together We Rise. The conference image was created by Ritual & Fern. The sun element was designed by Musqueam artist Amber Cornick and represents the learner as the centre of education.

We are inviting professionals who share our Vision of “all children and youth in Canada live healthy, physically active lives” to join us for the 2026 event.

Acknowledging the unceded territories

We acknowledge that this conference is taking place on land situated on the unceded and ancestral territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, who have lived, gathered and stewarded by them since time immemorial.

The city in which the event is being hosted is located on territory that was never ceded, or given up to the Crown by the Musqueam, Squamish, or Tsleil-Waututh peoples. The term unceded acknowledges the dispossession of the land and the inherent rights that Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh hold to the territory. The term serves as a reminder that Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh have never left their territories and will always retain their jurisdiction and relationships with the territory.
