Engaging Girls and Young Women

Physical and Health Education are subjects that benefit all students. Yet research shows that participation rates for female students decline significantly as they get older - starting as early as grade 4.

PHE Canada worked with Dr. Louise Humbert, Emily Humbert and Nicole Cameron of the University of Saskatchewan to identify best practices and successes in engaging girls and young women.

These practices have been summarized into two easy to access documents. Download the poster and guidebook to assess and make your classroom a more inclusive environment.
