Teaching Tolerance Lessons
These robust, ready-to-use classroom lessons offer breadth and depth, spanning essential social justice topics and reinforcing critical social emotional learning skills. There are 500 lessons in total, each directed towards a specific age-group ranging from kindergarten to grade 12. Topics covered include; race and ethnicity, religion, ability, class, immigration, gender and sexuality, bullying and bias, and rights and activism. The search page includes an easy-to-use filter, which allows you to filter lessons by grade level, social justice domain (identity, diversity, justice, or action), school subject, and topic. An example of a recommended lesson is “Challenging Gender Stereotyping and Homophobia in Sports” for grades 6-8 or 9-12.
