Linda Cliatt-Wayman shares the three principles that helped her turn around three schools labeled “low-performing and persistently dangerous.”
The three principles:
- If you are going to lead, LEAD
- So what, Now what?
- If nobody told you they loved you today, remember I do.
Her fearless determination to lead — and to love the students, no matter what — is a model for leaders in all fields. She provides very descriptive examples of her experiences at these schools and highlights the strong emotions of both herself and her students during these trying times. Linda also highlights the teachers’ perspectives and their role in creating a school culture.
